WorldTractor.com is an independent heavy-equipment information and equipment-discovery website operated as a U1.ca property. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse the site or contact us.
Scope and accountability
This policy applies to WorldTractor.com and information under its control. The website currently presents equipment categories, editorial concepts and industry information for mining, earthmoving and large infrastructure construction. It does not currently operate a transactional machinery marketplace, user accounts or a dealer network.
WorldTractor.com is a U1.ca property. Privacy inquiries, access requests, corrections and complaints can be directed to r@u1.ca.
Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
If you email us, we may receive your name, email address, business or organization, the content of your message and other details you volunteer. Please do not send bank details, government identifiers, passwords, or other sensitive personal information.
Hosting and operational information
Our web host and security systems may collect technical data needed to operate and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, referrer information, timestamps, error records and indications of abusive or automated requests.
Google Analytics, Search Console and cookies
Google Analytics 4 (GA4). If you select Allow analytics, WorldTractor.com loads the Google Analytics tag (Measurement ID G-BSYXZBZ33Q) to understand aggregate website activity, including page views, approximate location, referral sources and general device characteristics. GA4 may set first-party cookies, commonly named _ga and _ga_*. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or message contents as analytics events.
Your choice. Google Analytics does not load before you permit it. If you select Decline, the site remains available without GA4. A necessary local browser setting records your selection to avoid repeatedly showing the notice. You can revisit the choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection from this site in that browser; it does not retroactively erase data already processed.
Google Search Console. We use Search Console to understand how the site appears in Google Search. It does not require us to deploy a separate visitor-tracking cookie.
Some images are served by external image hosts (including Pexels and Wikimedia Commons). When your browser requests those images, the host may receive the IP address and technical request information needed to deliver them. This is separate from your GA4 choice.
Why information is used
We use information as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the website, respond to communications and privacy inquiries, measure aggregate performance when consent is provided, improve equipment-related content, maintain ordinary business records, and meet applicable legal obligations.
WorldTractor.com does not sell visitors’ personal information.
Service providers and disclosure
Providers supporting hosting, infrastructure, security, email and—when enabled by your consent—analytics may process limited information to deliver their services. Providers may process data in Canada or other jurisdictions, where different laws may apply.
We may share information when reasonably required to obtain professional advice, protect our systems, address misuse, comply with lawful requests, or complete a lawful business transaction. We do not provide visitor information to machinery dealers for unsolicited marketing.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose and any legitimate security, business or legal obligations. Hosting and email retention depend on operational needs. GA4 retention is governed by the settings in our Analytics property and Google’s platform policies.
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to secure information; no website or transmission method can be guaranteed fully secure.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we control, correction of inaccurate information, or information about our privacy practices. You can also withdraw permission for future analytics by selecting Cookie preferences in the footer.

WorldTractor.com links to manufacturers, image providers and other independent websites. Their own policies govern any personal information you share or that they collect when you visit their services. A link does not imply an endorsement or commercial affiliation.
